SpotMe ("SpotMe," "we," "us") helps you find and connect with gym partners and coaches near you. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using SpotMe you agree to this policy.
Information you give us
Account details — your name, email address, and/or phone number, created when you sign up (including via Apple or Google Sign In).
Profile content — photos, bio, workout interests, your home gym(s), and prompts you choose to share.
Identity verification — if you choose to get verified, a photo of a government ID and a selfie. This is captured and processed by Stripe Identity; SpotMe never stores your ID document or selfie on our servers. We only receive a pass/fail result.
Messages and voice memos — content you send to matches and coaches through the app.
Payments — when you subscribe or book a paid session, payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. SpotMe never sees or stores your full card number.
Information we collect automatically
Location — approximate location to show you people and coaches near you and to set your gym. You control this in your device settings.
Usage data — how you interact with the app, used to improve the product and keep it secure.
Device data — device type and identifiers needed for push notifications and app functionality.
How we use your information
To match you with relevant partners and coaches and power the core features of the app.
To verify identity and keep the community trusted and safe.
To process subscriptions and session payments.
To send you notifications you've opted into, and to provide support.
To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and safety issues.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run SpotMe:
Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage, and notifications.
Stripe — payments, coach payouts, and identity verification.
Apple — sign-in and subscription billing.
Other users see only the profile information you choose to share (name, photos, bio, gym, and verified status). Your email, phone number, and ID are never shown to other users.
Your choices and rights
Edit or remove profile content at any time in the app.
Control location and notification permissions in your device settings.
Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us (see below). We will delete your data except where we're required to retain it by law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile data; some records (for example, transaction records) may be retained where legally required.
Children
SpotMe is intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
